Opelika Show, Newest To Get Shutdown By Governor Ivey Of Alabama
In a email received Friday, Opelika's - East Alabama Gun & Hunting Show at the Village Event Center is the newest victim to be affected by Alabama Governor's shutdown due to Coronavirus.
Governor ordered all non essential business to be closed in Alabama this week and all large gathering to be suspended until April 17th, 2020. While this doesn't really affect the show on the 18th, this does not give proper advance notice and allow the promoter the opportunity to do paid ad


Cahaba Shrine Huntsville Next Show To Cancel It's March Show
Brent Oliver promoter for the new Cahaba Shrine Gun & Knife show in Huntsville notified us this week that the Shrine met and made the decision to cancel their show scheduled for April 4th.
It is not like they had a choice as the Alabama States mandate played the biggest role in that it still will not allow large gathering over 25 people until April 6th. Even then the decision could be made at that time to extend the deadline for several more weeks.

Fort Payne Now Cancelled Per VFW To A.G. Gun Shows
It's Official: In an email sent to EveryDay Preppers by Anthony Giordano, owner of A.G. Gun Shows he stated he was contacted by the VFW, the owners of the Dekalb County Fairgrounds that he will not be able to host his April 4th & 5th Gun Show in Fort Payne, Alabama.
In accordance with the Alabama State Health Departments mandate of not hosting events over 25 people, this would include the Gun & Knife Show scheduled for April 4th in Fort Payne.

CASC's March Mobile Show Just Got Shut Down
In a letter from the Mobile Fairgrounds sent March 18, 2020 they have instructed us that they were ordered to not allow any events larger than 10 people before April 6th. They did not say who told them, but with no cases in Mobile County at that time, it could be a little premature to shut down events / shows in unaffected areas, but this is what is happening all over Alabama.
