CASC Heads To Dothan, Alabama 2018

Did you know that CASC - Collectors & Shooters Company, one of the largest Gun & Knife promoters in the State of Alabama travels throughout the Great State of Alabama each year to do their trade shows from North Alabama to South Alabama. They normally hit up most locations mentioned four times a year. Here are some of the locations they visit each year: Huntsville, Hoover, Montgomery, Dothan, Mobile and Robertsdale, Alabama areas. On March 3rd-4th they head to the Peanut Capital of the World, Dothan, Alabama for another great show. CASC will be open its doors Saturday March 3rd at 9am and close at 5pm and will reopen Sun 10am until 4pm. They will actually be set up at the physical venue that host the Peanut Festival each year in Dothan Alabama. Whats important about Dothan, Alabama? Most people do not realize that most of the nations peanuts, maybe even the worlds peanuts come with in 100 miles of Dothan, Alabama. Each year in Dothan they hold the nations largest peanut festival each November. The festival started off as a small event but now it lasts for ten days and see’s 150,000 people attend each year, during the festival there are various attractions, concerts and events for the whole family and of course countless peanuts. The first festival was held in 1938 and has been held every year since with the only break being during World War II. What Sets Dothan Apart? Dothan is one of the region’s most progressive cities. The community offers a mild winter climate, affordable housing, low property taxes and a wide variety of products and services that includes health care, education, shopping and cultural entertainment. One of the highlights for my family was to see all the hand painted murals all over Dothan. Another great Dothan adventure is the Peanut Hunt. As pictured in this article, there are 31+/- Super Large Peanuts hand painted and placed all around Dothan. You can get a map from the local Tourism office for the murals and the Peanuts and take your family on a day adventure. My family took to the challenge and we found all but I think 2. It took a while and was well worth it.
