Knife Rights' bill to repeal Louisiana's antiquated ban on the possession of switchblade knives, HB 892, passed another critical hurdle today in the Senate Judiciary C committee where it was passed out favorably without objection. Knife Rights Board Member Tom Gresham testified on behalf of Knife Rights at the hearing. Now it goes to the floor for a vote of the full Senate in the coming days. That provision was necessary to gain the neutrality of the Sheriffs and the State Police.Allowing for the concealed carry of a switchblade in Louisiana is complicated because it would require a significant change to Louisiana's concealed carry law.
