SOS Food Labs - Survival Foods

Disclaimer: This is article is part two in that we published an earlier article about SOS Survival Products who we original thought was the owner of these Coast Guard Approved Food / Survival Bars and during our investigation found out that SOS Survival Products is only a retail outlet using a similar name which we now found out confuses a lot of people in the prepper communities which may be their original intentions. Please make sure you check out our earlier article. SOS Food Bar Cinnamon

First, I would like to state, we really enjoyed the SOS Food Bar Cinnamon in that is was very good, moist, did not require water to accompany it to eat it. I initially ate 1/2 of one bar at 10am and it gave me enough sustained energy to full fill my days task until 6pm that same day. Each bar was individually wrapped and the package was easy to open and easy to rewrap and roll back close. Highlights Total caloric value of package:

With regards to the Original Food Bar from SOS Food Labs, this bar unlike the Cinnamon was not individual wrapped, which I did not like and found it difficult to get the bars out of the packaging. The Cinnamon was much easier to work with. There really wasn't much a taste difference other than a slight hint of Cinnamon in the other bar. I really could not taste the Coconut extract that is supposedly in this food bar. To store away, I found this much more difficult to do since I had to tear the packaging open to get into it unlike the Cinnamon packaging. I know the packaging may be the same but being individually wrapped makes a difference when you have all 6 bars stuck together compared to one bar individually wrapped trying to pull it out. With regards to the SOS Original Food Bar itself, it comes in several cal bars: 1000,1200, 2000,2400,3600 Cal Food Bars. Some people say they taste like coconut, I did not experience this. * If you have a large family, I would recommend the 3600 Cal Food bars as you have more bars; there are more individual 400 Cal bars per package bar to divide up amongst your family (Better Value for Your Money); I just wish they would individually wrap them like they did the Cinnamon! SOS Food Bars are designed to help you endure despite demanding situations, each ration food bar deliver balanced nutrition your body needs to maintain peak performance.
One of the things we liked about them compared to the other food bars is that they are The SOS emergency food ration bar is US Coast Guard approved and is able to stand up to hot and cold temperatures. So, you can store them in your car, truck, Go Bags. Have them at work or on a long trip just in case you breakdown. They are the best accompaniment to have with you in case of an emergency.

We also tried: SOS - New Millennium Energy Bars (Tropical Fruit)
First, we didn't taste any particular fruit flavor at all and the bar itself was pleasant and seemed to be similar in nature to the cinnamon food bar minus the cinnamon. We felt it was a smaller version of the food bar and we were over all glad we had no burst of energy but kept a constant, consistent endurance throughout the afternoon and were able to stay on task and finish our days work. I would love to have these in my Go Bags rather than that big brick of the food bar for daily hikes or day adventures.

As I stated, when and if we ever receive the additional SOS Food Bar (Original) we will follow up with a new article) along with another article of the Orange Millennium Energy Bar. The main issue i Have is where to find them and the over all shipping cost associated with getting them! SOS Survival Products Charged me nearly $20 for a $14.00 order and this is absurd! I plan to contact other retailer to see what they charge and is this normal.
