Annual Event Cancelled Due To Covid-19

While I know this is not our normal posting, we wanted to show how Covid-19 is affecting other industry business and annual events throughout the South. This is interesting that this promoter feels they cannot comply with the States / Cities Guidelines, meanwhile other events are currently happening and are scheduled throughout the Fall / Winter Season in Birmin gham and other cities throughout Alabama. Excited holiday shoppers in Alabama were hit with a heartbreaking announcement Monday morning. This year's Christmas Village Festival in Birmingham is now canceled because of Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. On its Facebook page, organizers of the annual event announced after months of trying to plan around COVID-19 guidelines, it was decided the show would not be possible. "The guidelines limit the number of customers allowed in the show and they limit the number of booths allowed," the announcement said. "This means our customers would be extremely disappointed that all their favorite vendors could not attend."The announcement stated that tickets purchased for the 2020 event will be accepted when the 2021 event comes around.
