Gear Review: HydroBlu Clear Flow Water Bottle & Filter Combo

In today's review we wanted to bring you the HydroBlu – Clear Flow Water Bottle. I have traveled throughout the US for work for years and I wish I had something like this when I was in Missouri for the Mid-West Floods back in 1993. I was in Missouri for off / on 2 years covering the damage caused by mother nature and having a water filter or water bottle with filter would have made our lives so much easier on a daily basis. We had to boil our water to bath much less drink and bottle water was not as readily available as it is today. Saying this, do you ever find some of the bottle water you get taste funny of has a smell? I wouldn't think twice about pouring my those type bottle waters not this Clear Flow and have a better taste.

I would encourage everyone to get a quality water filter and even one of these Clear Flow Water Bottles and keep it in your Emergency Kits (Home, Vehicle and Go Bags) for each member of your family. There is a time and place for an inline filter and a time for somethign like the Clear Flow Bottle. This should be part of your daily routine; drinking quality, pour drinking water!

The Clear Flow Water Bottle w/ Filters down to 0.1 microns without the use of chemicals, iodine or batteries. That means it removes 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as salmonella, cholera and E.coli and it removes 99.9999% of all protozoa, such as Guardia and cryptosporidium. The activated charcoal in the filter reduces heavy metals, iron, sulfur, negative taste and any discoloration from your water.

Having an All-In-One water bottle with filter like this is something I have never seen before. This is not like any other filter on the market and HydroBlu has done an amazing job here. Super lightweight, compact and filter last 400 Gallons and while I have not made it to 400 Gallons, HydroBlu states the filter stops working on its own at or around the 400 gallon mark. The bottle is made of a semi-soft PBA Free plastic, Mouth piece is perfect to bite down on to draw water from. Separates easy into pieces for cleaning. The lid had a hard look perfect for your packs carabiner.

I have never been much of a filtration straw user as it's very difficult & awkward for me to get down on the ground next to a body of water and drink out of a stream. The HydroBlu Clear Flow Bottle be filled anywhere and you just pop up the mouth piece and you got clear drinking water to go anywhere, any time.

Anyone that doesn't like this bottle or tries to list flaws, is not giving this bottle a chance as this is a perfect water bottle and filter combo, not seen in any other markets. While I am also a fan of the Renovo MUV Water Bottle and Filter and would give it high marks, I think this combo by HydroBlu actually filters better; even better than the Life Straw Water Bottle!
