New addition to our traveling tool kit

Dewalt Impact - Best Tool for traveling Tool Kits

Most recently we saw a friend leave a trade show and 10 miles down the road in his brand new trailer he is broke down on the side of the road with a flat tire. I witnessed him pull out a battery operated 1/2 Impact wrench and in less than 10-15 min, he had the tire off and back on with a new one he carried.

I have been thinking about this for some time and started to do my research on which one I felt was the best for me, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, Harbor Freight and a few others. After several weeks dwelling over it and talking to folks as well as joining some social media groups, I choice the DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Impact Wrench Kit with Detent Pin Anvil, 1/2-Inch, Tool (DCF894). I also purchased two 5AH Batteries which is better than the 2NH normally offered when you get the tool combo. I chose the tool only and purchased the batteries separated and got a better deal.

With 300 Lbs of Torque, I feel this will be perfect for my truck and trailer needs if I am broken down. This is the lighter of the two Dewalt impacts and much easier to use.

If you do not have a battery operated Impact in your Go Kit for your vehicle, I encourage you to do your own research. I plan to take this along with my business truck, van and trailers, on all business trips as well as a small set of hand tools. You never know when the need will arise an be prepared is the best option! Fate Favors A Prepared Mind
